20 March 2022: The name ‘Funky Soul Burner’ came from the very first mix ever made for my mates at work and abroad. I BURNED a CD and labeled it with drawings / track listing on the CD and cover and sent them out or handed them out. In 2007, I decided to make a podcast and needed a name, and used Funky Soul Burner as an homage to the first. To this day, I do not remember what was on that first ever mix. To all my people who have been there since conception, everyone along for the ride since, and those just tuning in – CHEERS!
